Paper I : English:
This paper designed to test the candidates understanding of English workmanlike usage of words.
Paper II : General Knowledge:
GK includes knowledge of current affairs, issues related to the latest changes in fields of science, government bodies, defence bodies, national awards, sports, nation politics, etc.
Paper III : Elementary Mathematics:
- Arithmetic:
Number system, integers, square roots, time and distance, time and work, percentages, simple and compound interests, profit and loss.
- Number theory:
Prime numbers, composite numbers, tests of divisibility by 2, 3, 4, 5, 9 and 11. Multiples and factors, L.C.M and H.C.F.
- Algebra:
Linear equations, quadratic equations, remainder theorems, theory of polynomials, set language, set notation, rational expressions and conditional identities.
- Trigonometry:
Sinx, cosx, tanx, simple trigonometric identities, simple cases of heights and distances.
- Geometry:
Properties of angles in planes, lines, triangles, rectangles, parallelograms, etc, circle and its properties including tangent and normal.
- Mensuration:
Areas of circles, triangles, squares, rectangles, parallelograms, total and surface areas of spheres, cylinders, cones, cubes, cuboids, volumes of cones, cylinders, spheres, cubes & cuboids.
- Statistics:
Graphical representation, frequency polygons, histograms, collection and tabulation of statistical data, bar charts, pie charts, measures of central tendency.
