General Awareness

General awareness is conducted with special reference to banking sector. This holds 40 marks.

  • Current affairs include national and international financial issues.
  • History of Indian Banking
  • Abbreviations and Economic Terminology
  • Government schemes on capital and financial market.
  • Budget terminology & Current Union Budget like taxation, Railway budget.
  • Credit and Monetary policies
  • International organisations and financial institutions like IMF, ADB and recent head members etc

Computer Knowledge

Computer Knowledge section possess 20 marks.

  • Introduction to the concepts of hardware, software, networking, database and communication.
  • Knowledge on security tools, Virus, Internet concepts and MS Office
  • History of computers, Number system (Binary) and Logic gates.

IBPS PO Examination Details

  • This exam is conducted online which consists of multiple choice questions.
  • Examination is conducted for 200 marks with duration of 2 hours.
  • Negative marking is applicable (0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer whereas zero marks will be awarded for un-attempted question).
  • All the sections i.e, aptitude, Reasoning, General awareness and Computer Knowledge will be available bilingually (Hindi & English) except English.
