Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering(GATE) is an examination that primarily tests understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate and post-graduate level subjects in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and Science. GATE 2017 Exam Results Release Date
GATE score is used for admissions to post-graduate programs (e.g., M.E./M.Tech/ Direct Ph.D.) in Indian Institutes of higher education. The score is also used by some Public and Private Sector Undertakings for employment processes in India. Mock examinations links are available in official website www.gate.iitr.ernet.in. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology jointly conduct GATE Examination. The operations related to GATE in each of the 8 zones are managed by a zonal GATE Office at the IITs or IISc. Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee was Organizing GATE 2017.
GATE 2017 examination has been conducted online from February 4th to February 12th in two batches i.e batch 1 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and batch 2 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Candidates had downloaded GATE 2017 Admit Card from official website appsgate.iitr.ac.in. from 5th January 2017. As Admit Cards will be sent by post or as an email attachment. scribble pad will be provided to the candidate that can be used to do the rough work and return the scribble pad after the examination. GATE question paper consists of multiple choice questions and numerical answer type.Multiple choice type questions have four choices and out of which only ONE will be a correct answer. The candidate has to choose the correct answer by clicking on the radio button 
placed before the choice. For numerical answer type questions, the answer has to be entered using a keypad, which shall appear on the monitor.
