Staff Selection Commission Common Graduate Level (SSC CGL 2017) is a Government Organization that is responsible to recruit staff for posts in various ministries, Department of sub-ordinate officers. It conducts a Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination for recruiting Group B and Group C category posts in various ministries.
SSC CGL examination is conducted in 4 Tiers. The first two phases that is Tier-1 and Tier-2 are conducted online whereas Tier-3 is an offline examination. Already Tier-1 is held on 27.08.2016 and 11.10.2016 in 415 centers in 96 cities across India.

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree from recognized University.
 - Age of candidate is limited to 18 to 31 years as on August 2017.
 - Age relaxation is permissible according to Government policies for SC/ST, OBC, PH and Ex-servicemen etc.
 
SSC CGL Registration
- Application is to be filled online. Application Fee is Rs100/-
 - Mode of payment is through online.
 - Physically Handicapped/SC/ST/Ex-servicemen category are exempted from paying the application fee

SSC CGL Syllabus and Exam Pattern
Tier-1 exam pattern:
- Type of exam conducted is online objective.
 - Topics include
- General awareness/ general Knowledge
 - Reasoning
 - Quantitative aptitude
 - English comprehension
 
 - Total number of questions are 100 for 200 marks
 - Negative marking is applicable. 0.5 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
 - Duration of exam is 75mins.
 
Tier-2 Exam Pattern:
- Type of exam conducted is online objective.
 - This include 4 papers
 
- Paper-I  Quantitative Ability
 - Paper-II  English Comprehension
 - Paper-III  Statistics
 - Paper-IV  General Studies include Finance and Economics
 
- Paper-I and Paper-II are common for all the posts.
 - Paper-III is only for Statistical Investigator Gr.II and Complier.
 - Paper- IV is only for Ass. Audit Officer.
 - Examination is for 200 marks per paper.
 - Duration of exam is 2 hours for each paper.
 - Negative marking
 
- Paper-I – 0.5 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
 - Paper-II, Paper-III and Paper-IV – 0.25 mark will be deducted.
 
Tier-3 Exam pattern:
- Type of examination is descriptive.
 - Candidates will be asked to write Essay or Application writing etc.
 - Examination is conducted for 100 marks.
