Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2017) is conducted by Anna University, Chennai. TANCET is conducted for the admissions to M.E / M.Tech courses in various institutions across Tamilnadu. Candidates can apply through the TANCET application available online. Candidates qualified GATE Examination are exempted from TANCET. TANCET 2017 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The eligibilty of the TANCET 2017 is varied based on the courses selected.The eligibility for different courses are given below.

MBA	Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years). Secured at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category).
MCA	Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) with mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduate level. Obtained at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category).
MCA(Lateral Entry)	Bachelor’s degree (minimum 3 years) in BCA, B.Sc (CS/IT) with mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduate level. Secure at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category).
M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Phil	Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Obtained at least 50% (45% marks in case of reserved category). GATE Valid Score Card

Duration: 2 hours
Marking scheme: 1 mark for correct answer
-ve marking: 1/3rd mark will be deducted for wrong answer

TANCET 2017 APPLICATION:

Application Fee: General candidates – Rs.500/- , SC/ST candidates – Rs.250/-.
Application Procedure:

In online mode, an online application is available in the official webportal.Candidates are required to fill up the form, upload the recent photograph and scanned signature.Candidates can pay the application fee pay using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.

In offline mode, Candidates are required to send their filled application forms with DD , 10th and 12th marksheet(or diploma certificate) should be attached with the application form.The demand draft should be taken in favour of “The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai-600025”.

TANCET 2017 RESULT:

Candidates can check their results from the official portal of the conducting authority. Candidates can download their mark sheet to present it at the time of counselling procedure. Results will be declared in the last week of June 2017. Marksheet will be available online after 10 days from the release of results.
